One table,
one topic
Every DaYou table is built around a topic: a dish, a debate, a language, a film. The topic gives everyone a reason to talk, and the night starts there.

Open a table and you'll see
The host's topic
The night's opening line. It can be written in Chinese, English or both, with an optional description.
Who's hosting
A host, the restaurant itself, or DaYou. A host's tier shows on the table: Rising host, Top host or Super host.
Where it is
Every table is at a partner restaurant. Tap through for its page, photos and moments from earlier guests.
When and how long
The start time and length come from the restaurant's slot, and each slot holds one table per day.
Price per seat
The restaurant sets the price for the slot, per seat, shown clearly when you book. Some tables are free.
Seats and who's coming
The restaurant sets the number of seats; when they're gone, they're gone. Who's coming shows the guests who've booked.
Three kinds of table,
each with a topic
A host's table
An approved host picks a slot and a date at a partner restaurant and adds a topic. Every table is reviewed by DaYou before it goes live.
The restaurant's own table
Partner restaurants can run tables in their own slots, shown as Hosted by the restaurant. These are reviewed too.
Official DaYou table
Tables run by the DaYou team, marked Official DaYou table.
What do you feel like talking about?
Browse by these on the Home screen. Hosts pick the closest fit when they create a table.
Food & tasting
A dish, a cuisine or a way of cooking, talked through over dinner.
Drinks
One drink's worth of time, a few new faces.
Language exchange
Chinese and English both welcome. Practise over dinner.
Debates & ideas
Bring a question and hear other points of view.
Industry chats
People in the trade and the curious, talking shop.
Film, books & art
Talk it through, then go and see it.
Just meet people
No theme. Just say hello to your city.
From slot to seat
- 01
The restaurant sets slots
Each partner restaurant sets weekly slots: the day, start time, length, seats and price per seat.
- 02
A host picks a topic
A host chooses a slot and a date, writes the topic and submits it for review.
- 03
Reviewed, then live
Once DaYou approves it, the table appears in the app and can be booked.
- 04
You take a seat
Book, find a 搭友, gather, then share the night.
Tonight's tables
live in the app
Tables open and fill up every day, so we keep them in the app where they're always current, not on a web page. Get DaYou and see what's on in your city tonight.
About tables
How many people are at a table?
The restaurant sets the number of seats for each slot. It's on every table's page, and when the seats are gone the table is full.
Who sets the price?
The partner restaurant sets a price per seat for each slot, and hosts can't change it. That's the price you see when you book; a promo code or your wallet balance can bring it down when you confirm.
Can I bring friends?
Everyone books their own seat. A table is about meeting someone you haven't met yet, so coming on your own is very welcome too.
What if a table is full?
A full table can't be booked. Try another table that day, or another day.
What does Promoted mean?
A restaurant paid to promote that table or restaurant, and we always label it Promoted. Promotion only changes where it's shown; it never gets around any filter.
Can I host a table myself?
Yes. Verify your identity, apply to host, and once you're approved you can set a table at a partner restaurant. See For hosts.
