Friendly, real,
safe at the table
DaYou is people sitting down at the same table. To keep every table a good one, we ask everyone to follow these guidelines. They're part of our terms.
kind
At the table,
please
Respect everyone
- Be kind to everyone, wherever they're from and whatever language they speak
- Debate ideas, never attack people
- When someone says no, stop
Be yourself
- Verify your identity before you book or host
- Use your own name and photos
- Don't impersonate anyone or submit false verification material
Gather safely
- Drink in moderation and don't put yourself or others at risk
- Mind allergens and dietary needs
- Look after your own safety and belongings; in an emergency, call 110 first
Hosts, also
- Describe the topic, time, place and price truthfully
- Run the table as promised and look after every guest
- Don't cancel or change tables repeatedly without good reason
Things that don't fly
Hurting others
- Harassing, threatening, discriminating against or abusing anyone, including hate speech
- Photographing or sharing someone's images or information without consent
- Drinking to excess at a table or putting others at risk
Illegal or harmful content
- Unlawful content, including content that endangers national security, or is obscene, violent, about gambling or rumours
- Content that infringes others' reputation, privacy or intellectual property
Spam and selling
- Advertising, flooding or posting the same thing over and over
- Using tables for pyramid schemes, gambling, illegal fundraising or selling unrelated goods and services
- Pulling people off DaYou to sell or solicit, or charging more than the venue specifies
Breaking the platform
- Using cheats, scrapers or scripts to interfere with the service
- Trying to access our systems without authorisation
Putting the guidelines
into practice
Text screening
Moment captions, comments and display names are checked before they're published. Words we don't allow can't be posted; other text is published and sent to our team to review.
Reporting
You can report moments, comments and 搭友 chats. Our team reviews every report.
Blocking
Once you block someone, you won't see each other's moments or messages, the chat closes, and they can't comment on or like your moments. You can unblock them any time in Friends.
Breaking the rules
For content and accounts that break the guidelines we may remove content, warn, restrict features, suspend or close the account, and report to the authorities where necessary.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app at any time: upcoming bookings are cancelled, tables you host that haven't happened are cancelled and your guests are told, and your profile is removed.

About the guidelines
How do I report something?
Tap Report in a moment's or comment's options; in a 搭友 chat, open Chat options and tap Report. Tell us what happened and our team reviews it.
What happens when I block someone?
You won't see each other's moments or messages, your 搭友 chat closes, and you won't be matched again. You can unblock them any time in Friends.
Why won't my post go through?
It may contain words we don't allow. Edit it and try again. After too many tries in a short time, you'll need to wait a while.
Where's the full version?
The community guidelines are part of our terms. Read the Community guidelines section of the Terms for the full text.
